Trapezoidal Rotary Valve

Conclusion
After comparing the rotary valve system with the poppet valve system, it is possible to say that the rotary one is much more efficient. The rotary valve has an intake area much bigger than the poppet one for the same engine and it achieves the maximum opening faster and stays there for a longer period.
Comparing the trapezoidal valve with the poppet valve, it also is much more efficient for the same reasons, but not so much compared with the rotary valve.
In the situations where the trapezoidal valve slides along its path according to the charge applied on the engine, it is shown that it could work with the same principles of the other variable valve systems already existents. But also is important to say that it is faraway of being possible to install it in a four-stroke engine. First would be necessary to compare the results obtained with the ones from the variable valve systems already existent to see if it is efficient to the point where would be worth to a company start producing and implementing this systems instead of the other options in the market.
